The Future Centre stems from the San Salvador Centre on economic studies founded at the end of the Eighties. From the very beginning the Future Centre has blended the economic and technology views of the evolution, investigating how the technology evolution influences the market evolution.

Today, the Future Centre broadens its focus to the world of ecosystems: the pervasiveness of telecommunications in a global market has increased dramatically the number of actors. These operate independently of one another, continuously reshaping the marketplace.
